the S&S is a great case and its twice what the OEM one ever was - delcron is a brute big and clunkie if your building a monster thats the one

ultima has a shovel case its fine it works as well as the OEM one would

Well, I guess bang for the buck would be the Ultima.I was planning to have my crank balanced and welded no matter what case I use. No monster. Everything now is stock besides the carb and the cam. All she's for is putting around town.

Does this plan sound Sufficient ?

That welding bit is only for twinkies, shovels don't need it as the cranks are rebuildable not disposable. They will balance out fine and pull 6500+ plus RPM just as they are.

Down side to going new cases is gonna be re-regersiting with the DMV , getting a special construction title issued and having those ugly *** tags glued on.

I'd go on the hunt for an OEM left hand case and have yours match machined and lapped in , they are out there.
