left side case insert

Default left side case insert

does anyone know why the left case insert,main, comes loose and i guess there is no way of fixin it?

If you're talking about the Timken / Main bearing bore because the bearings are loose in the case, Darkhorse Crankworks took care of mine on my rebuild. They redid my crank and put the bottom end together.

I just had Scott do mine. My previous crank had a run out of. 019" causing a hammering affect on the main bearing race and sleeve. It is repairable...

I'm not sure why they come loose, but as the two chaps above indicate, it is fixable - you have two contacts to consult already!

i am talking the steel insert that is in the case....was told not repairable??/?

You've been told above that your crankcase IS repairable and there are at least two specialists who can do it. Scott of Hillside has posted that news himself, so give him a call - get in touch!
