Default Engine Case Replacement - EVO

I finally found a used 1996 evo case to replace my cracked 1994 case. I bought new timken bearings and races for the left side crankshaft, however the right side crankshaft main (pinion) race is missing from the new case. Can I use the right side race (and pinion shaft bearing) from my old case and have it pressed in to the new case? Will this require "line lapping"? The old bearing and race are in excellent shape to use.The new Timken races will need to be pressed into the left side as well.

Go with a new right race.Pressing the old one out may damage it.You can get a replacement race from JIMS.And you will have to line lap after the installation of the new race. You have the motor down this far anyways.Do it right.
