Default Metzeler ME 880 Report '02 FLHRi Road King

Here is some info on Metzeler ME 880 Tires for (’02) FLHRi Road King.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; &nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I’m posting this because I couldn’t find much information in one single place for these tires on the forum-here are the highlights.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Info may apply to other models as well. Information is not guaranteed- verify it for yourself-&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Links to both Metzeler and Dunlop are included.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Hope this helps someone .... Sorry for the jacked up post- it has taken me 3 hours to get it readable due to the HDF problems.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Metzeler Overview:
These Metzeler Marathon 880s are a&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;much&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;smoother ride than the ‘lops.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Turning and cornering&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;is easier at both low and high speeds.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; As mentioned elsewhere in the Forum, the 880s eliminated the rain grove wiggle and reduced the effect of a road seam on my RK.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; They also raised the seat height about ½ inch! Time will tell if I love them or not.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; So far I love them!
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;

Metzeler Marathon 880 Have a Lower Weight Rating Than Stock Dunlops.

&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
I am very happy with the switch.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Even though the load rating is lower than the 'lops, between the safety margin built in to consumer products (especially motorcycle tires?)&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;and the fact that load is rated at max speed, I dont&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;see it to be a safety issue- just my&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;.02 (and metzeler's).

Here's a Metzeler ME880 (South American version) that was installed on a buddy's Dyna.&nbsp\\; Tire has 40 psi in it, but the sidewall has separated from the carcass.&nbsp\\; Lucky he felt it before it let go. I'll take my Made in USA Dunlops, thank you.
