RE: Night train rear wheel question
I have a 92 Springer and I changed over to a 160/60/18 on a 4.25" rim from a stock rim with 140 tire. We had to space the rim to line up with the sprockets. I also switched to a chain and went with a 9" Arlen Ness taildragger fender. We didn't have to move the tranny over as it aligned with the rear sprocket. The only thing I didn't like about the chain vs belt is the oil slinging on to the fender.

RE: Night train rear wheel question
I just did the whole wide tire wrap, when the new rims and tires came in i compared them to my old ones, the 16(160 dunlop) was actually a hair taller than the 18(240 dunlop extreme low profile)..based on this i would say the 18 should fit the stock swingarm

What, if anything, did you have to change/modify?

Rthomp159, I have a 99 softtail……………..I used the stock swing arm. \\; I had to change to a 70 tooth pulley from the stock 65 and a 20mm wide belt with 133 teeth. \\; Then new wheel spacers to get it all to fit. \\; Could not use the chrome belt guards any longer due to the bigger radius of the new pulley so I cut the belt guard tabs off, filed, sanded and painted the swing arm to clean it up a bit. \\; About 1/8 clearance between swing arm, tire and belt.............Tight as hell but no rubs. \\; Looks awesome. \\; Jerry from hog pro helped me work it all out.
