Default Repairing Crash Guards

So, as some of you may know, last week I had a slight altercation with the pavement. Thank goodness no damage to my Deluxe but my saddle bag got a little scuffed and the engine guard took most of the hit. The bracket to the lower frame is bent and the whole side is kind of bent inwards. My question is... do you think I can have this straightened or will I be better off just replacing it? I think I could pound out the bracket, but the pipe itself needs some special attention.

Can you straighten it and have it look good to your eyes? If so I'd go ahead and fix it. But if not I'd replace it.

My wife dropped her brand new Deluxe and scratched her clutch mount and dented her aux light. She was sick over it but thank goodness the engine and saddlebag guards protected the gas tank, saddlebags and engine casing.

No big deal. It's all part of the learning experience. If you gotta put out a few bucks, suck it up and do it.

I'd just replace it. I was in a accident several yrs back and that thing probably saved my leg & foot from being majorily busted up! Think of it as good insurance and go get ya another one.

Yeah really, you're already ahead a bunch, by spending a couple hundred on a new crash bar, compared to the thousands for new tins.
