Default Anyone put a cup holder on their engine guard?

A whacky idea, I know - I have apes, and I dont like where I'd have to put it to make the mounting bracket stay put, so I thought maybe I could put it on the crash bar, in this case a Kruzer Kaddy.

I tested out what it would be like to lean forward to grab it, doesnt seem too bad. I'm not thrilled with the Harley downtube-mounted arm.

some do, or mount on the rear crash bar and the motor helps keep your coffee hot.

Yeah, hadnt thought about the rear crash bar, not a bad idea - I have the guard bags (non-cup holder) on both sides, but easy to take that off and put the Kruzer Kaddy clamp on for long trips.

I use the HD Saddlebag Guards with the drink holders. My preferred bottles are Camelbak Podium Chill Bottles with the Jet Valves - they keep colder than anything else I have found, left side best.
I have seen Kaddys mounted down on the front bars, if it works for you, go for it!

I mounted my Cruzer caddy on my engine guard on my electra-glide. Left side , works fine for me. I like it better , its out of the way , out of my line of sight.

I mounted my cruiser caddy on the rear bag guard and it works great for rider and passenger.

I had my drink holder mounted on my crash bar for awhile (on a Kawi). The drink holder I used is here: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/PROD/RR-Ch.html (my crash bars were the standard 1.25" at the time...)

I had mine mounted on the crash bar for a while, but couldn't keep the bugs out of my water. Put it back on the bars, it's not that bad.
