I upgraded to this Barnett Spring Clutch conversion. Much more positive clutch. More expensive than the Harley diaphragm spring, though. Comes with 12 springs, 6 light, 6 Heavy or you can combo the 2 to make medium. All 3 tensions are heavier than stock.

Thanks, this might be my winter project

Default Clutching

Clutch is first weak link in the system for sure. I did a 124" upgrade on my 11 Fatboy Lo and went with the SE six spring with pressure plate upgrade using stock discs. Reasonable cost at 250$ and no slippage thus far through 10k miles and two dyno sessions showing 132torque and 129 HP.

What I was thinking is maybe the plates just need to be replaced. How many miles are on them? The stock clutch is actually pretty tough.

I looked at those a while back. I liked what I saw & read, but I didn't know anyone that owned one...

If I may ask, what power are you running, what springs/combo did you use, and how much did it affect the clutch lever pull?

Thanks..
