So while leaving the house today my bike shut off while I was moving right in front of the leasing office. I pulled over and it wouldn't start all lights on pushed the start button and nothing happens. It's got power it's not cranking like a dead battery. Also the fuel pump will start to prime then stop then start again or just won't prime at all. She's got power so I know it's not the stayter or voltage regulator. If it was the starter or ignition it would still do something. Also when she dyed while I was still rolling at like 15 mph the gauged went to zero like the gauge died. I'm thinking its a wiring issue maybe a ground or a computer issue. After I pushed it almost all the way home on the way it would ether do nothing when I pushed the start button or it would try and crank fail and then go back to doing nothing. It finally actually started when I was like ten feet from the house. Thoughts on the matter?

 

Going to be hard to get help if all we know is you have a "bike".
Make, model, year, mileage,mods ,,,,,,,,

 

If you are saying its not the starter, voltage regulator, or the ignition.....did you check if the battery if it is still good and/or connections. Did you check your plugs? Were you starting the bike in gear or in neutral. Also it would help if we knew how old the bike is or if you had mods done to it.

 

Check your battery cables, both ends of both cables.

Sorry my bad it's a 2013 xl1200c she's got 27000 miles on her and has v&h short shot staggered pipes and Arlin ness stage 1 big sicker and a v&h fule pack lcd. Thought I put that in but thanks for the replys so far

Does your bike have security, do you have the little round black security fob. If so, does the little red key light on your speedometer go out when the fuel pump primes. If it doesn't replace the battery in your key fob.
