Default trouble starting

I just bought a 1996 road king yesterday. It run beautifully, but I have to jump start it every time I want to start it. It was fine yesterday and this morning. The lights seem to be at full power, but when I try to start it the starter just clicks. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any information.

1.Check the battery terminals then check the connections at the starter.
2.Check the battery may have a bad cell. If OK then,
3.Have the voltage regulator checked.
