IMHO the FLTRU looks better with the tourpak ON...
The fairing is set at a different angle, and looks funny without the TP to balance it off....
A different angle than what??? The RG Custom?? If so not true. No difference in the angle of the fairing in the RG line. Only difference is when you go from 2009 to 2010. In 2010 the fairing was raised and tilted back a bit.

A different angle than the entire rest of the bike and the world around it. The character line makes it look like it's come loose at the rear, tilted forward, and is about to fall off the bike. No offence intended to anyone's ride... if they made a 2014, I would have considered one ...but the fairing is as awkwardly designed as this sentence. The tour pack, by being a large misshapen box mounted unnecessarily high on the back of the bike, balances out the profile.

Gotcha. Thought yoo meant that the Ultra had a different fairing angle than the Custom.
When I first took mine off, I weighed the whole thing (Pack, Speakers, and mounting rack) on a bathroom scale. I don't recall the exact weight, but I think it was around 35 lbs.
Just weighed mine (happened to be sitting in my dining room) and the weight is 46 lbs. Its off a '15 Ultra Limited.
