Here's a link to the adjustable passenger pegs that a lot of touring bike riders are using (me included):

Good luck and welcome back to the Harley family!

I have those pegs linked above and love them. They take the pressure off a little rider's legs as well as giving other positions for the ladies to wrap their legs better!

Kury sells a kit to relocate the tour pack. put one on my '07 UC. gives you another inch or two room for the passenger.

You can do two other things prior to spending the cash on the Kuryakyn tour pak kit. You can move it back an inch yourself by drilling out holes in the bottom plate of the tour pak to gain an inch. I did this and it worked great from advice here on the forum. The other is George Anderson's homemade tour pak kit which is about $95 shipped. It can move you back about 2.5" Do a search here on the forum for the address and phone number for him.

Got one of these on my 05 Ultra - plenty of room now - me 260 wife 210. http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=Harley&ci=3311

Gain a few extra inches for going those extra miles. This handy kit moves the Tour Pak back 2†to provide more room for your passenger. The added space makes things much more comfortable for the passenger and makes climbing on and off much easier, especially if the bike is equipped with a driver backrest.
Note: Not compatible with H-D's accessory enhanced sound system that positions an amplifier under the Tour-Pak.

I installed the Kuryakyn kit, and it definitely gave my wife more room on the back. However, I noticed a weight shift towards the back of the bike that makes the handling a little worse. You just need to realize that you are moving the passenger weight back, which changes the ride and handling.

Don't overlook the fact that on 06 and newer models HD designed a one inch adjustment for the tourpak. Take a look underneath for the detent before you spend any $$ on the Kuryakyn tourpak extender.

I have some of the kury kit left if you want it. It doesnt work with the detach kit so I took it off. I will have to look and see how much is there.
