Default Anyone ever changed bars and had trouble with throttle by wire after?

I changed my bars along with many other mods, painted inner, chrome controls, Rockford fosgate amp and speakers. I have ridden the bike for several hundred miles with no problem, then I go into limp mode. I get home from that episode to have it do it several times on the next ride. Any suggestions. I pulled codes and got P1511 and P 2135.

did you look up those codes?

to reset the sensor. with RIGHT HAND;
turn on let fuel pump prime, turn off for a moment
repeat 4 times

a number of riders have had problems after bar swaps.

if you have soldered connections on your bars, soldered wires tend to break where the tinning ends from vibration.
these faults usually show up months or years later

you might check the servo motor plug behand the air cleaner at 8 o'clock on teh throttle body.

unplug and replug to clean the connections
plastic-safe contact cleaner and dieletric grease may help with that.

This has happened a billion times. It's the green connector for the throttle by wire. You need to hardwire it and use of shrink tubing. It's not a something to get upset about. There are many threads about this but they will all start out like yours and the solution is the green connector is separated and it needs to be hard wired.

Have fun

Happened to me after the Monkey bars. Had to tear it back apart and spend another 90 bucks. Funny thing was, I could hook the laptop up and watch the TGS go from 0 to 100% but something wasn't right in there and the codes kept returning.

Good luck.

I soldered mine. Did away with the green plug and soldered those too. Now I'm a little worried about it.

If you didn't do away with the green plug that may be the problem. I had a problem with it coming loose when pulling the wires that's why I just cut the plug off.

When I am asked about internal wiring I always say to go for it. Then when you have electrical issues you will always know exactly where to look.

Thanks for the great advice. Evidently when I did the bars the first time the green plug must have vibrated loose a little. I pulled tbw back out of my bars and hard wired without green plug. When I pulled the wire out I destroyed the green plug and must have read the connector wrong. After looking at another post of someone hard wiring theirs I took the wire colors they posted, and I had the yellow sheathed bundle and the black sheathed bundle mixed up. I also cleaned the plug on the left side of injection module and dielectric greased it. Everything seems to be working fine now. Will get a long test ride in a couple of days. Thanks again.
