As we all know drive by wire bars have 2 wiring harnesses on the throttle side.one for the throttle and one for the turn signal, start, and what ever.so,how do you get both harnesses through the bar.i know you have to piggy back the two together .now,do you leave the black sleeving on the wires, remove the connectors or what.if you remove the ends ,in lay mans terms how do you get the pins out.this is can bus so these connectors are weird since it's a 2016 heritage.
I have rewired maybe half a dozen bars and in my case...had to cut the wires....pass them through and reattach on the other end. My bars have 90 degree turns so it is even more difficult. Problem for the most part is the plugs on the ends of the wire. Not enough room after running first set to get the plug through the hole on the bottom of the bars with the second set. You have to have patience....I wasted a lot of time trying to cut corners and get them through without cutting the wires....eventually the harness won and I cut them..
I've heard guys lubing up wires to make it easier to pass thru.... I didn't have to to that. Can be done without making a big mess.
By the way....I just installed new bars on my 2016 Fatboy Lo S and sure it looks cleaner if you pull the pins but no one is going to see the wiring in the bars....easier to just cut them.....
Good Luck!!!

Just recently did mine, HD mini apes 1-1/4 only connector I had to depin was the six wire connector for the directionals only took minutes to push/pull wires through no lube or powder in bars! I Used a safety pin for depining the directionals, my slim is not TBW though
I used a safety pin to pop the pins out of the connector. Clip the point off the end of the safety pin with a pair of dykes and you're good to go. The first pin or two will take a bit but once you get a feel for it you'll have them apart in no time.
Also, on my streetglide, which was TBW, I pulled both sets of wire at the same time. I ran weedwacker string through the bars, lubed them up with wire pulling lube, and they were done. It's not difficult to do just takes patience.
