Hey All,

Couple questions: does anyone know what the OEM windshield height is for the 2014 FLHXS?

Seconds, per rough guess, looks like it's about 5 inches. Looks like I only need another inch (or will be too tall). Why does LRS and FastAire sizes start at 7"? Thinking this will be too tall, or, could be that the measurement is greater than 5" on the OEM.

The 7" LRS will measure 6 1/2" from the top of the fairing (7" from the middle of the screw on the fairing trim). You should be fine unless you have an unusually short torso. Check out the LRS site for fitment information or give them a call. Great folks to deal with.

 

The 7" LRS is worlds better than the stock shield but if your looking for something just a bit shorter the Klock Werks 6.5" flare works even better. And since it leans in towards the driver more than the LRS you can see over it a little easier. I have the 7" LRS and the 8.5" KW and the KW works much better but it is 1.5" taller than the LRS. I wish I would have tried the 6.5" KW because the 8.5" is about an inch to tall for me. I look over the 8.5" but it's so close to my sight line that it annoys me on long rides or at night. I'm 6' by the way.
