So in installed the SE oil pump and Cam plate with new cams and bearings. Finally got it all done and running, very nice by the way, and one of the things that I see is that my oil pressure runs much higher. My question is, because I knew that the oil pressure would be better, should I get a new oil pressure gauge? The pressure is now running around 50 - 55 and my current gauge maxes out at 60 and so now I am at the top of my gauge instead of the middle. I don't know if there is a gauge with higher markings available anyway.

 

that's about right for the high volume oil pump; your current gauge will be fine.

 

She'll run about 50 or so cold then once she's good and warm she'll settle down to somewhere around 45 and 16 or so in idle.
