Just finished installing my HD Fog Lamps tonight. To avoid removing the fuel tank, I ran the wiring underneath the tank speedometer. Seems to be okay at this point.
Just finsihed mine tonight as well...I broke out the schematic and found that I could wire in the lights at the ACC switch orange wire...power on; switch on...LIGHTS!!!
Really wasn't up to removing the tank for this MOD
I drilled up the engine guard earlier this morning and mounted the lights, hardest part was fishing the wires through.
Gotta say; these fog lights really look great with wires hidden.
The relay to my HD fog lights got water in it and doesn't work any longer. I have been to three dealers and no one can find a part number for it. Does anyone have an idea where to get the number...... Or if someone knows how to bypass the relay it that would be great also. I have it wired through my Acc Switch, but it still requires the relay to function.
A couple of quick question as I have my Fog set for delivery next week.
1) Do you need to take off the Engine Guard prior to drilling.
2) What size hole was required for drilling. I had heard from a previous trend getting the wrong size for the hole put a real damper in the process.
