Default Braided brake lines

Has anyone who has installed braided brake lines noticed any real improvement in braking? Or simply cosmetic?

Thanks.

The brading actually keeps the line itself from expanding under pressuruzation and does indeed improve breaking to a degree.

I have them, but I can't say that I feel any difference.

as the black ones age they start to swell and puff up losing pressure at the piston the braided ones won't do that so you might not feel a difference but you will consistantly not feel a defference btw hows the 98 incher running?

the front ones are more important than the back one so if you can only afford one or the other go for the front

rubber side down

There's an article in the November 2005 issue of "Bike Works" on braking tips. It says (and I quote)... "The single most discernible upgrade you can make...is to swap in braided stainless steel brake lines."
I replaced the factory lines on my '94 FXR before I ever saw the article, but I had the lines replaced as soon as I bought the bike, so I don't have a "before" comparison. But I feel good about it.
Here's another quote from the same article,..."Braided steel lines are a mandatory swap for anyone who gives a damn about high-performance braking."
Some endorsement, eh?

When I had the mini-apes put on my bike, they replaced the black lines with the braided stainless lines. I like them a lot better and they really set the bike off more. As for the technical end of the question, I really don't know if they brake better or not. My bike is only a few months old, so I didn't really pay any attention towards the comparison of the two, but I wouldn't trade back for stock lines. just my opinion

SS Brakelines are a night and day difference or atleast with sportbikes they are. I think it should be the first MOD done to a bike. Over winter I will be putting them on the SG.
