I have a date for the PreRally Trip. The only day I can make it is October 13th. A Saturday. I plan on leaving early, because it is a long ride to Ocala from Fort Pierce. If anyone is interested, please post. We can arrange a meeting place once we have several people interested. I would appreciate some additional riders. I hope some of you can make it.
I'm interested in catching up with you guys. If you're heading up I-95, I could meet you at Exit #268 which is for route 40 to head towards Ocala (Silver Springs). I'm willing to meet ya at any reasonable point further south too.
If you're planning to fuel-up somewhere around this exit (#268), I'll ride down there and and find the right place with premimum pump nozzles and get back to you before the 13th.
I just checked the routes. If I take 70 to 27, I'm looking at 3 hours and 27 minutes. If I take i95 up, I'm looking at 2 hours 53 minutes. That is a 35 minute difference. I think I'm going i95 unless someone see why I shouldn't.

I'm surprised that 70 & 27 gave you that good of a travel time. Probably a beautiful ride, but dozens of little towns and slower speed limits would make it a long ride.
You got the Florida Turnpike as a non-stop option, but the tolls stink. Most of that I-95 trip won't be too bad traffic-wise. I have done several offshore fishing tournaments out of Ft. Pierce and have made that run numerous times hauling a 32' boat.
