ANY SUGGESTIONS?????????? stevefxdi 03-23-2008, 03:55 PM i use a product called speedy aluminum polish and cleaner, i used it on my sportster and on my superglide. now i have a road king and only have to polish the outer edges of the rims. it wotks great though and when finished it looks like chrome flstf93 03-23-2008, 05:14 PM thanks alot. where can you get it? Dorkman 03-28-2008, 12:14 AM Trick is to head off the problem before it begins. The stock pads deposit brake dust...difficult to get to and you have to keep on top of it before it screws up the wheels. Lyndall pads solve the problem. 1bulldog 03-29-2008, 11:24 AM I recently made the mistake of cleaning the wheels on my fatboy with a wheel cleaner purchased from Walmart. The wheel cleaner oxidized my wheels and I honestly thought they were ruined. I tried just about everything including the mothers cleaners, fortunately I ended up purchasing a product at a motorcycle expo called Master Formula, you've probably seen these guys at shows cleaning coins etc. This stuff is amazing! They make a metal gloss (cleaning) and a sealer gloss (protective film). Check em out at http://www.master-formula.com/ . Took a little elbow grease but my wheels now look better than ever. anubisss 03-29-2008, 11:25 AM Master formula is good stuff. I use it too... wdg 03-29-2008, 11:57 AM thanks might try it myself anubisss 03-29-2008, 12:02 PM http://master-formula.com/Metal%20Polish.htm (http://master-formula.com/Metal%20Polish.htm) 8up 03-29-2008, 01:25 PM Are the factory mags on an ultra clear coated? mtairy biker 03-30-2008, 03:03 PM try the bom cleaners boms away metal polish Thundercloud 04-28-2008, 12:34 PM This stuff is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.buschshineproducts.com/ |
