Hey guys, what air cleaner can I put on my 96 RK with EFI ? I was told that I could put the
stage 1 Big Sucker air cleaner on my bike but all the aftermarket catalogs only list the carb one
and for the newer EFI bikes from 99 on. What mods have to be made to make it fit? really want to lose the hypercharger.
Thanks.
RE: aircleaner for EFI ? what can I put on my 96 RK
I have a 96 EFI Ultra.
I used the HD SE unit which they recommend for the Stage1 upgrade. Fits perfect, K&N type filiment, round, slim so no issues with leg. About $100 right off the shelf, stock part.
Well, I was going to start a new thread, asking pretty much the same question...but I didn't want to get my pee-pee slapped by the Forum *****.
I've got an EFI '97 Road King. So, aside from the SE Stage 1 breather, is there anything else?
I was browsing around the D&M Customs site and came across what looks like a billet adapter plate that should bolt up to the EVO throttle body, and it ends up with a round CV carb type inlet so you can bolt a CV air cleaner on....but since there is NO EXPLANATION whatsoever on their site, I can only assume.
Anybody else have any other ideas? I want something that not only performs better, but actually looks good.
Hey if your still looking for an air cleaner I have a brand new SE for 96 - 98 EFI in the box never opened. $60.00 delivered.
I bought the air cleaner, and shortly after bought a stage two kit, which came with an air cleaner, so I never opened the orginal one, still in the Harley Box.
