I ordered a set of venom white walls 6 weeks ago and I received the rear tire a week after ordering but as of today its been 6 weeks and I went down to the dealer and asked if it came in yet. Of course the answer was not yet which I was expecting so I replied with "well you can cancel it now cause I've waited too long for it" the salesmen said yeah but you already have the rear tire, My answer was "yup its out in my trunk, I want that refunded too" at which point I walked away not listening to what he was trying to say and got it. I came back in and he was trying to convince me he could get the front tire within a week by ordering from a different company but I just kept repeating no I don't want em anymore I've waited too long now and I'm not waiting any longer. I was one of those real shitty customers that you see time to time, you know the ones who you think are mad at life and treat everyone like ****. Apparently some times there is a place and time for it and I believe today was one of those times. Am I wrong to do so?
I would have finished with a "I will give it two more days," and see if they can find it and have it quick shipped to satisfy you. They fail, they get the other tire back and you get refunded.
I would not condemn you for how you handled it though. When patience ends, frustration isnt far behind.
Why would you pay somebody for not doing something they were being paid for? \\; Six weeks is plenty of time for most anything.
 \\;
I'm in retail and my customers come first. \\; If I'm to be happy then they HAVE to be happy.
Venom WW's aren't common on many dealer's shelves.
 \\;
I can only put it to you the way I put it to all of my impatient customers.
 \\;
"Take as pissed off as you are and multiply it by 3. I'm a parts guy and I make my living selling parts. When I can't get them, I don't get paid."
 \\;
No one behind the counter enjoys delayed lead times. Were you right or wrong? Not for me to decide. Did you get any closer to your tires? What about the next time you need one? Did YOU learn that you might need to give extra time?
 \\;
Avons are great tires. I run blackwalls on my 05 FLHRI and yes, as the parts manager, I stock 'em for me. If I ran WW I'd stock a set.
A few years back I ordered a guitar with the case.
Guess what they sent me and what was out of stock.
I waited 4 months for the guitar and \\;every day had the empty \\;case to remind me.
What pissed me off the most was every week they would tell me "next week".
Instead of just telling me 4 mos. at the beginning.
I waited because I couldnt find it anywhere else.
 \\;
6 weeks is way to long for any business to get something in that you ordered. I say it got lost in the shipping. But way to go/ You gave it plenty of time and you delt with it the right way.

I learned I'm never buying tires thru these guys again. In my defense I was in there 5 times asking if they were in, not bugging them but buying other parts and I was there so I might as well ask. Not to mention I have had parts sit there for weeks before and no one called me to let me know they were in so I have to ask from now on. Anyway I was there five times and asked the same guy all five times so I know he remembers me, and this time now he says he can get em from someone else and have em in under a week................... So why the **** didn't he do that 5 weeks ago?????? WTF
As for learning that I may need to give it more time........ Theres no ****ing way in hell that I should have to wait 6+ weeks for a tire, what if I had a serious blow out and it was rendered unfixable unless I replace the tire? Let me just store my bike for the summer and wait for that tire to come in. YEAH RIGHT!
This is a real simple one, the parts guy never ordered the front tire. \\; I've seen this before, hell I've done this before, you think you ordered everything and when the order comes in you find it is not complete. \\; Things like this happens but the idiot should have checked on the tire at that time and corrected the mistake. \\; Kagan before you get ticked you know you would have followed up, the fact that he could get one from "another Supplier" tells you he never ordered it.
6 weeks...for a tire?? \\; I'm assuming this set of tires is mostly for cosmetic purposes? \\; If the tires were worn out, and it took 6 weeks. \\; I couldn't ride for 6 weeks, because of waiting for new tires...... \\; I would be far more ugly than you were.
 \\;
I ordered a new front tire online on Saturday. \\; According to the tracking info, it will be \\;at my front door in about an hour. \\; Today is Wednesday. \\; 3 business days from order to delivery. \\; To me, that's acceptable delivery time. \\; 6 weeks??? \\; \\; No freekin way.
