Default how do you turn on the 4 ways ??

Holy cow , I must be a moron. I picked up this 98 wideglide a few weeks back and things on it are a little different than my shovel LOL. I was reading the HD service manual for it ( I don't have any type of owners manual ) and saw where it has a 4 way , at least in the wiring diagram but nowhere do I see any mention of where the switch is , can anybody clue me in ??

Press the right and left turn signals at the same time and release.

you have got to be kidding me LOL , ya think I would have at least tried that.................Ok seeings how I am asking stupid questions ,
While looking for a way to turn those on , I noticed a silver lever on bottom of right hand control , in between the idle cable adjuster and throttle cable. It can swing forward or rear ward , I can get a picture of it if needed , any ideas what this little booger does ??

I would have to see a picture of that. I can't think of what it might be. On my bagger it could be the electronic cruise control or a radio control. Probably not on your wideglide though.

It sounds like someone installed a lever (throttlemate?) on the throttle tensioner (manual cruise control) It makes it easier to put some tension on the throttle and give your hand some relief.

Just in case you couldn't get those 4 ways off...... Just press both t/s at the same time again and hold.

Not tryin' to be a smart ass....... just tryin' to help.

That's what it sounds like to me too.

hazards are what we are talking about ....just calling them 4 ways.
Ill get a picture when I get back , probably won't be until tomorrow morning, just to confirm what that lever is supposed to be . It didn't seem to make a difference in throttle tension, maybe it's broke. I plan on swapping out the grips soon , maybe if that is what it is , I'll be able to fix it while I'm in there.
