Evel Knievel’s Motorcycle Destroyed in California Fire
Sincerely sad news, according to the San Bernardino Fire Department, one of Evel Knievel’s Harley-Davidson was recently destroyed in a California bar fire. The Fire Department was called after a two-alarm structure fire engulfed Pazzo’s Italian and Pizza Restaurant and the Rim of the World Sports Bar near Angeles Crest Highway.
According to Tracey Martinez, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Fire Department, “more than 52 firefighters from six separate agencies battled this blaze.” The Rim of the World Sports Bar, which was completely destroyed in the blaze, was where Evel Knievel’s Harley-Davidson XR-750 was located.
The motorcycle was mounted to the wall of the Sports Bar, where patrons could view it from their seats. Thankfully, no one was injured; however, both buildings are on the verge of collapse and won’t be able to be rebuilt without starting anew. But who knows, maybe Evel Knievel would have wanted his motorcycle to go out in a blaze of glory?
