VROD Rear Wheel on 2019 Softail---Possible?
2019 Sport Glide - I know, I know, hear me out
I've de-****ified just about every poor decision that Harley made on this mutt of a softail before getting into the weeds on tuning, and I've arrived at the wheels.
Boy ****in howdy is it difficult to find wheels for this bastard.
Front: 18x3 - Single rotor
Max before modify: 21x3.5
Rear: 16x5
Max before modify: 18x5.5
I picked up a 21x3.5 10-spoke Breakout front that I know will swap in with a little bit of spacer love, and I want a dish mag on the rear so bad I can't stand it.
The VROD rear is 18x5.5, has a 25mm axle, looks the part, they're all over ebay, I can almost smell it.
Ive seen very little (if any) discussion on mounting a VRSC wheel to an M8 Softail. I know there's some kind of dampener that mounts under the pulley, but I'm wondering if this is possible.
Can you just mount a pulley straight to the wheel, get creative with spacers and call her done?
Id also like to say I am absolutely open to all other suggestions, good, bad or otherwise.

L’idée du V-Rod wheel sur un Softail M8 revient souvent, mais en pratique ce n’est pas un simple “bolt-on”. Le moyeu, l’offset et surtout le système de transmission ne sont pas compatibles directement. Sur le V-Rod, la poulie arrière est intégrée avec une conception différente, et le dampener que tu mentionnes joue un rôle important dans l’alignement et la réduction des vibrations.
Oui, certains arrivent à adapter, mais ça passe par usinage sur mesure, spacers spécifiques, et parfois changement de roulements ou de porte-poulie. Le 25 mm axle n’est pas le plus gros souci, c’est surtout l’alignement courroie/poulie et la profondeur du moyeu.
Donc non, tu ne peux pas juste monter la poulie direct et “call it done” sans risque. C’est faisable en custom, mais pas en swap simple.

The main issue probably isn't the axle size, it's getting the pulley alignment and wheel spacing correct. A V-Rod wheel may fit with custom spacers, but I would compare the hub and pulley dimensions first. It could end up being easier and cheaper to find a wheel made for the M8 Softail.
