Custom Harley

Many custom Harley builds tend to follow a format. But this awesome build marches to the beat of a different drummer.

It’s no secret that we here at HD Forums love a good custom Harley. There’s just nothing better than watching the many creative minds in our business work their artistic magic on two-wheelers, turning them into unique pieces of art. Generally this means adhering to a theme, and instilling countless little touches that’ll keep your attention indefinitely. And this particular custom Harley, built by Bachman’s Customs, certainly checks all of those boxes and more.

We spotted the sweet ride over on eBay, where its unique look immediately caught our eye. And then, as we perused the many finite details on the build, we realized that this is one nicely done bike. Right off the bat, you’ll think military when you spot the satin green paint. And you’d be right. Built to honor the Marine Corps, this custom Harley comes jam packed with subtle touches any good jarhead can appreciate.

A Softail chassis stretched 2″ and fitted with a 34 degree neck rake forms the basis of the build. Weld 18-inch wheels add a unique touch, a far cry from the massive hoops you often see these days. The rubber out back is still a nice, wide 280-series tire, but the front isn’t too skinny at 160. The powerplant sports a nice combination of chrome and satin finishes, lending a little bit of shine without going overboard.

Freshly completed and sporting only 800 miles on the odometer, it’s easy to see why this custom Harley has already garnered several magazine features. Many of today’s bikes seem to follow a cookie-cutter format, but this uniquely styled ride is truly one-of-a-kind. With a host of touches that purposely go against common trends and a fitting military theme, it’s one custom Harley that’ll make you want to stand at attention and give a proper salute!
