Default Side covers and emblems????

Has anyone ever put a tank emblem or sticky medallion on their side and battery cover. Can you use or have you used tank emblems? I am thinking about painting my side covers the same color but maybe the right tank emblem might be better? Any examples would be appreciated.

No pictures but I know some of us have colour matched the side covers. Mine is two tone blue with a dark blue and gold pin stripe.

Honda use to install emblems (or decals) on their CB model bikes.
FWIW @1977 CB400F had gold decal:
400
SUPERSPORT
I think that looked good, plus smooth to the touch.

But, I have no photos of emblems on a Harley side cover.
Perhaps, could you "mock up" with color photos?
God luck with your mod

It would likely work but you’d need to make sure the contour of the emblem is the same as the contour of the side cover.
I guess a guy could use a heat gun to warm the emblem enough to shape it if he needed to.

I haven't thought about shaping the emblem with a heat gun. Doesn't hurt to try it on an okd one if it's not metal. Most of the sticky had ***** g emblems are metal. The plain bar and shield emblems with no letters just the badge outlines are also metal. Maybe I can find done plastic damage fake ones somewhere on line.

Thought of using decals instead of emblems?
