The Beauty of a Well Used Harley-Davidson Panhead
The 1950s gave rise to an entirely different generation of motorcycle riders. Gone were the bare bones military style bikes, and in their place, a new breed of amazingly brilliant cruisers. One of those motorcycles was this 1958 Harley-Davidson Panhead.
This particular motorcycle is owned by Chris Huber, and even when he was young, he knew that one day he would own one of these special motorcycles. However, unlike most Panhead owners who keep their bikes locked away in the garage, Chris has managed to keep the motorcycle on the road since he bought it. He’s kept the motorcycle road worthy, not show worthy. Why, because Chris is a true motorcycle guy. He’s a man that loves the open road, and that’s what this ’58 Panhead gives him.
With that said, Chris had to slightly modify the ’58 Panhead to keep it running. “the tanks and rear fender are ’63 or ’64, but the rest is mostly from 1958. I added the NOS Harley bubble bags.” Chris also takes this beautiful motorcycle camping, which makes him even more of a hero in the Panhead community.
So what do you all think, does she look good, or should Chris have completely restored the old girl?
