The star of “Jackass” has made a movie about the world’s most famous daredevil, and if you believe the words of the folks at Jalopnik, “Being Evel” is a powerful, honest and daring look at the troubles, triumphs and choices of the one and only Evel Knievel. The film is going to be screened next weekend at the Jalopnik Film Festival in Los Angeles, but they posted up a nice little preview to the movie over at Lanesplitter.

The movie is said to run for two hours, and despite being produced by Johnny Knoxville, the documentary is not about dick jokes and crashes, but rather it’s a true and honest look at the figure of Evel Knievel, and the demons that turned him into the legend that he was. From his troubled childhood to his questionable lifestyle choices, every facet of this renowned entertainer is examined and explained. As a great purveyor of the motorcycle, and a man who pushed the art of two-wheeled entertainment, this sounds like it could be a must see movie.
