Which is the Best All-Around Harley?

HDForums member, Swansea Jack, posed the question in the forums at the beginning of December and we’ve been watching the thread grow. He rides a Sportster but acknowledges that “best” depends on how it’s used. Obviously, you’re not going to use a chainsaw if you’re a heart surgeon (at least one who wants to keep his job) and you’re not going to use a scalpel if you work in logging.

But is there a Harley that is the best of all worlds– not too big for easy, ’round town cruising, but not too small or radical for long distance jamming? Ib5150 replied that it’s “one that starts, doesn’t leak oil and keeps a smile on your face,” to which ChickinonaChain added “and is paid off.” We couldn’t agree more. But we’d like to know if there is such a thing as a universal Harley? So let us know here or in the forums, which is the best all-around Harley-Davidson… Maybe the answer is one that’s accessorized as above.
