Clever Motorcycle Trailer Design

Maximizing space on the road has never been so fun.

Every now and again, you see an idea that makes you wonder, “Why didn’t I come up with that?” Rarely, we find ourselves thinking the opposite. Sometimes, something is just so clever that you know that you never would have come up with the idea in a million years.

Such is the case with this awesome mini travel trailer we found on Reddit. looking like a scaled-down replica of a vintage teardrop trailer, it slides apart to reveal comfortable sleeping quarters for the rider. We’re sure the extra storage is a nice bonus, too, and we’re betting that the profile of the trailer minimizes buffeting and other issues while cruising.

We certainly hope that the creator plans to make and sell these things, because we kind of want one. He’ll have customers waiting around the block and a garage full of new Harleys in no time!

Cam VanDerHorst has been a contributor to Internet Brands' Auto Group sites for over three years, with his byline appearing on Ford Truck Enthusiasts, Corvette Forum, JK Forum, and Harley-Davidson Forums, among others. In that time, he's also contributed to Autoweek, The Drive, and Scale Auto Magazine.

He bought his first car at age 14 -- a 1978 Ford Mustang II -- and since then he’s amassed an impressive and diverse collection of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, including a 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Mystic Cobra (#683) and a classic air-cooled Porsche 911.

In addition to writing about cars and wrenching on them in his spare time, he enjoys playing music (drums and ukulele), building model cars, and tending to his chickens.
