Warmup enrichment question on PowerVision WinPV software
Howdy all,
I recently got a PowerVision PV-3B unit for my 23 Ultra Limited and the custom tune they gave me for my bike made it run great. The only thing I think I'd like to change is warmup enrichment. The bike is really cold natured until it warms up. So much so I'd like to try to richen it up in the WinPV software for the lower engine temps. Is that the proper method to correct this issue? Here are the current settings for that tune.
How much do y'all think I should add to each column? I figured I'd better ask the smart folks before I just start making changes.
While reading some of Dynojets tips it looks like this table only affects the first 90 seconds or so after starting. What areas in WinPV would affect how much fuel is being added at lower temps?
I assume when the OP says, Id like to richen it up and warmup enrichment, that he means to add more fuel? Wont doing that make the engine run cooler?

I guess the best way I can describe it is when you have a carb that is lean and the bike will sputter a little bit until it warms up properly. I am thinking that if the tune was too rich it would run better cold then be sluggish when it warms up. I also stopped by the dealer a couple of days ago and compared the AFR ratios of my tune and some that they had created on the dyno and the lower rpm AFRs are pretty lean, which was surprising. I took a screen shot of those tables and adjusted my AFRs and it did help a little bit, but still needs to warm up a little bit.
I'm hoping that marco's tip will help. One thing I noticed in the WinPV software is that when I highlight cells and click + or - on the toolbar nothing happens, I have to type the values into the cells manually. There must be something I'm missing, does anyone know? I noticed the mechanic at the dealer was using some of the newer Power Vision software, but I've got the OG tuner which uses WinPV. On the newer software the tech had a box he keyed a value into then the + and - buttons did their thing, but I didn't notice that option on my WinPV software.
A cold start on the engine requires a richer mixture most of the time....in regards to cold start/ warm up, a richer fuel mixture is not going affect engine running temps.
most people dont get itbright in regards to to the relationships between AFR Ratios and engine temps...very different with efi vs carbs.
