George Foreman’s Custom Harley-Davidson Moves on to New Hands
Boxing legend George Foreman kept his H-D Fat Boy until 2023– now it’s heading to a new owner.
It’s true. The man behind the “Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine” owned a Fat Boy. As deliciously ironic as that is, Olympic gold medalist and two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman kept the bike for over 30 years.
Tragically, Foreman passed away in March of this year. His beloved bike, however, was stewarded by another person for the last two years. That is, until just recently.
George Foreman’s own 1992 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Softail Fat Boy went up for sale on Bring a Trailer recently, amassing over 5,000 views and ending up on 411 watchers’ lists. All-in-all, the 33-year-old motorcycle is a babied example, with just 2,490 miles on the clock.
George Foreman’s Added Touches
Of course, Foreman couldn’t leave the Fat Boy stock. Most notably, he had the tank painted to read “Georges’ Fat Boy.” You know, so no one would mistake this was the champ’s bike.
In addition to the custom Carlini Autographics two-tone red paintwork, Foreman installed a custom seat with a cheeseburger on the backrest. Appropriate for the athlete behind the George Foreman Grill.
‘Georges’ Fat Boy’ Didn’t Sell For Very Much
Even with its history, low miles, and creative customizations, the Fat Boy didn’t fetch much in the online auction. According to the Bring a Trailer listing, the winning bid was just $6,200.
That’s on par with the average value for an example in “Good” condition, per Hagerty. But it seems like a steal for a bike with some unique boxing history to its name.
