Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Remains Undefeated
The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines team remains undefeated on the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, as they move on to the next race event following a crushing victory in Atlanta.
Factory rider Ed Krawiec won the Pro Stock Motorcycle class in just his second season with the all-American racing outfit, following a second best qualifying time of 6.88 seconds, and a final run and weekend best of 6.82 seconds outpacing his rival who ran a 6.851 time.
“The weather cooled down and we had great V-Rod conditions on Sunday,” said Krawiec, who has now won a whopping 33 times in final-round appearances. “We had a good tune-up since Saturday, so we were focused on making chassis adjustments to keep the bike running as straight as possible down the track. This class is so tight right now making a clean run is essential to winning.”
Inspired by the Night Rod Special street Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, the Screamin’ Eagle has enjoyed a somewhat fairy tale-like season so far, just as the race team heads to the 47th annual NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J.
Great job, boys!
