Kid Rock, Lita Ford & Foreigner Headlining 78th Sturgis Fest, Aug 3-12!

Plus, don’t miss Harley-Davidson’s Pre-Rally Rollout on July 28 & 29.
Sturgis. It’s almost here, and here’s everything you need to know for THE biking event of the year. Join half a million of your biking buddies when the 78th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally hits Sturgis, South Dakota, from August 3 to 12. But if you’re really in the mood to party, you’ll want to arrive early for Buffalo Chip‘s Bikini Beach Pre-Party July 30 to August 2, with nightly concerts from the band Trick.
Another reason to arrive early: the Black Hills Harley-Davidson located near Sturgis says its Pre-Rally Rollout July 28 and 29 is bigger than ever this year with more giveaways, more motorcycles, bigger tents, better selection, and the first-ever Pre-Rally Bike Show. Continuing its long and legendary association with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, official sponsor Harley-Davidson can be found during the rally at its two downtown Sturgis locations: the H-D Rally Point at Main Street and Harley-Davidson Way, and at the Community Center at 3rd and Lazelle Streets.
The world’s largest music and motorcycle festival has finalized its full lineup of world-class concerts and will feature performances by superstars from the world of rock and classic metal. Hitting the stage at the 2018 event are Kid Rock, Eric Church, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Staind‘s Aaron Lewis, legendary guitarist-singer Lita Ford, Buckcherry, The Marshall Tucker Band, and more. Some of the world’s top party bands have also made the list including Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Chevelle, and Reverend Horton Heat.
And celebrating the 40th anniversary of their best-selling album “Double Vision,” Foreigner will perform their greatest hits at their first-ever ticketed reunion concert featuring all original members on August 4 at The Sturgis Buffalo Chip.
We know the rally is your chance to party hearty, but we also know that you’re there to do some riding. The Discovery Ride on August 4 is your chance to go on a three-hour ride withselect celebrities from this year’s event as they lead you through some of the most gorgeous scenery in the Black Hills.
You can also enjoy a beautiful ride through the Black Hills led by Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen on August 6 during the 16th Annual Mayor’s Ride.
Also on August 6 is the 11th Annual Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s Legends Ride with this year’s special guests Paul Teutul Jr. from American Chopper, actor Tom Berenger, and racing legends Rusty Wallace, Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, and Walker Evans. Since 2008, the Legends Ride has donated nearly $500,000 to charities like the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and the Black Hills Special Olympics.
Other activities at this year’s Sturgis rally include the street food throwdown, tattoo contest, the legendary Sturgis 5K, mayor’s pub crawl, beard and moustache contest, Sturgis racing, Dana Bowman’s parachute jumps, the American Motorcycle Association Gypsy Tour, and Military Appreciation Day presented by the VFW to honor those who have and who are currently serving to keep us safe and protect our freedoms.
And that, to us, sounds like reason enough to rally.
