MY RIDE! A Sublime Green Electra Glide Classic
Dare to be different, as the saying goes. It seems like almost all Harley-Davidson motorcycles on the road are the same generic color schemes. The most popular is certainly black, though shades of red and orange aren’t uncommon.
Even blues show up around town. However, it’s always great to see something completely new and relatively unheard of cruising around the city streets. HDForums member steelerdude1 decided to put his time, energy, and fund toward making his 2006 Electra Glide Classic something new and different, and today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at the unique machine!
If you hadn’t already noticed what is different about this ride, then we’ll tell you. The hog is painted in a bold shade of Sublime Green, with touches of matte black.
Yes, this is a MOPAR color that is often seen on the Challenger, both classic and modern. The shade screams “extraordinary” to the world and stands out very well in any situation. It looks amazing in this color, though that isn’t the only thing that’s been done to this ride!
As it sits now, this Sublime Green bike has Vance & Hines True Duals, Vance & Hines fishtails, a Screamin’ Eagle breather, a Stage I ECM download, and much, much more! If it puts things into perspective, steelerdude1 claims that there are “too many other mods to list!”
Maybe bright and bold isn’t everyone’s favorite color scheme, but it definitely suits this ride well and looks fantastic with the complimentary matte black touches!
Feel free to check out some more information on his adventure with painting this wonderful machine. Go stop by steelerdude1’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
