Would You Ride Your Harley in the Canadian Winter?
If you’re a passionate Harley rider, then probably already now about fellow rider, Eric Lobo. He is from France, and he is also a badass.
Having gone through some terrible personal and professional misfortune in 2010, Lobo financed a 2010 Road King Police, and embarked on the trip of a lifetime, riding through China, Siberia, Cuba, and France. Though most recently, Lobo decided to tackle great part of Canada in dead of winter.
While most bikers venturing into such conditions would choose a rugged KTM Enduro or BMW GS, Eric chose once again to do so on a Harley, and this time it was a 2015 2015 Harley Davidson Street Bob. Some obvious modifications were to the Street Bob to cope with the harsh environments, such as side skis, special shocks, and tire studs, although Lobo says there’s no such thing as making a Harley winter-proof.
A self-proclaimed cold-weather lover, fan of challenges, and mountain admirer since birth, Lobo feels right at home in the winter-wonderland that is Canada, though he admits the risks are far greater than dry-weather riding. No, really?
Lobo has published multiple photography books and raises money for his travels and other generous causes during his trips.
Would you do it?
