For motorcycle enthusiasts, vintage Harleys have always been a coveted commodity. However, the rest of the world is just beginning to understand and appreciate these beautiful, and often one of a kind, motorcycles are worth vast sums of money.

One auction in 2015 set some serious precedents in the motorcycle auction realm. The time was this past March, the place was a Las Vegas Mecum auction, the collection was from from E.J. Cole, and the dollars were in the high hundreds of thousands. Even before the final gavels, some were calling this the “most important motorcycle auction ever held.”

What we have here is a 1928 Harley-Davidson JDH ‘Two Cam’ board track racer. It was Harley’s first street legal race bike, and was one of the fastest motorcycles in the world at the time.

This original 1937 Morgan is actually the Super Sports Three-Wheeler. It used a Matchless V-twin 990cc engine that had 39 horsepower at 4800 rpm, and used a Amal Side Draft carburetor and a 3-speed transmission.
