Default 2019 roadglide primary oil
Just wondering my buddies 19 recommended primary oil is 80/140 so he got some from hd and was not happy 40 dollars for a liter and said it was 160 for filter,engine oil,primary from hd so he is thinking of changing brands what you guys using.i just use drag specialty primary oil in my twin cam but his calls for other

Thanx I did check that out it seems to be all over the map for different bikes. I was more interested in his 2019 m8 as harley had changed from what to use since the twin cam

You can use the same lube in the primary for M8, TC, Evo.

Don`t know who "They" are, but the lube that is specified by the 2019 service manual and the 2019 owner's manual is Formula +.

Maybe just pick up a bottle of 10W-40 conventional oil, JASO MA2 rated like Valvoline 4-Stroke Motorcycle oil.

I like Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 in the primary. I think you'll find it pretty close to Harleys Formula+.

They do sell the 80w140 at the dealer, and there is nothing wrong with it. Works great.

He does not have to run it, it is just one of the options.
