Bikes, Beer & Bikinis: Summer 2018 Motorcycle Events
Myrtle Beach Bike Week (May 11 – 20)
The Myrtle Beach Bike Week and Spring Rally is a week long event in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Their motto is “Let The Good Rides & Times Roll.” The Spring Rally, now in it’s 78th year, is expected to draw crowds of over 275,000 riders and enthusiasts. One popular draw is the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Thunder drag racing events on May 16-19. This is a beautiful area to ride in, and the perfect season to do it. Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without good music, entertainment, and a great Harley-loving crowd, and you can expect plenty at this bike week.
Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally (May 24-28)
The Red River Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally is a great way to spend a long weekend. Red River, New Mexico offers scenic and stunning roads and trails to ride on, especially the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway, a 110 mile loop through northern New Mexico.
With 20,000 bikers lining up on Main Street, it will definitely be a great time on and off your bike. In addition to music, food, and vendors, there will be Harley-Davidson Busted Knuckles Stunt Tour to perform jaw-dropping and wildly entertaining stunts. Red River also takes time to honor our veterans in a ceremony on May 26. Another nice touch is that portions of proceeds go to local charities.
Ohio Bike Week (May 23-28)
The Sandusky, Ohio event has a varied schedule of events and a lot of great tunes. There will be rides, a winery tour, a Memorial Day parade, poker runs, flat track racing, and a lot of live music. Every day offers different ride options, and a different chance to grab some quality time with your bike, and a very cool crowd. Also this year the local Mad River Harley-Davidson will be sponsoring an attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Record for Largest Motorcycle Poker Run.
