So, for you all who have used this piece to cover the servo wires/connector. Did you have any problems with the air cleaner base plate sitting flush after putting this part between the throttle body and and plate?
I went to my local dealer to pick up a couple of gaskets for my little install. Got back, took everything apart to put the cover on and damn if there is a huge gap where the breather bolts are supposed to go. So, came back to my computer to find out what the hec and come to find out my trusty dealer gave me the thick gaskets instead of the thin ones... Soooo, looks like I'll have to go back to them tomorrow to get the right ones... (but, I digress)...
Now, I'm wondering if the thickness of the cover itself even with the thin gaskets is going to cause a problem...

Any thoughts?

I have no gaps with mine but for extra piece of mind I made a thin gasket out of gasket material to go between the TB and the servo cover. I should say I ran it without the extra gasket for several 1000 miles without an issue but I had the AC off when I replaced my cams and had some free time and material available so I figured it can't hurt.
I would make my own gasket with good materials available at parts houses. I recall doing this with an engine case gasket on a Metric bike and it worked perfectly, a gasket for the cover your describing couldnt be anywhere near the complexity of an engine case cover....try it its not that tough.
If anyone is interested, you should use HD P/N 27948-08 Throttle Body Cover Gasket, one on each side (tb side, air cleaner back plate side)...
Hope that helps someone out!

I am awaiting my servo cover. Not sure how it installs. Does the servo go between those 2 gaskets? That's what it sounds like to me. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone. Thanks.

I read a little closer and got my answer.
