Got an RSD Venturi Air Cleaner. Do I remove the horseshoe shaped TB support?

It all depends upon the design of the air cleaner and how it attaches to the breather ports. In the case of my Fuel Moto state one air cleaner, yes, I had to remove that bracket.

As I recall, there are two Allen screws on the back side that are a bitch to get out. Just find a short-shanked Allen wrench that will fit them and take your time. Of course you can always tilt-up the gas tank for easy access, but that may take longer. I just used an appropriate Allen and took my time. Then used a black cable tie to simply ball-up ad tie the cabling lying behind the bracket just to keep it all together. You will be surprised at how heavy that bracket is once you get it in your hand. After that, the rest of the install is a breeze.

I did on my SE breather. I took out the back bolts on tank to lift it a little to get to the bolts.

Had to remove it on my older FuelMoto high flow air filter but think I read they had redesigned the mounting for the newer breather that do not require it to be removed.

and make sure you get a good bite on those 2 bolts as they a tight as all get out...it was all I could do to get them out, I ended up raising the tank enough to get a allen that fits on a rachet in there...if you remove the rear bolt on the seat and stick a piece of 2x4 under the bracket for the back of the tank that should give you enough room to work

Really? My instructions were explicitly to leave it on.

[edit] - ah, just read a post that stated there's a newer design that requires you to leave it on, and mine's new

But glide2meetu answered your question by pointing to this pdf in his post - so no, you dont have to remove it for the RSD A/C

True, but mine was the old model I guess. I had forgotten that FM came out with a newer model that no long requires it's removal.

I would think the OP should read the instructions that came with the unit to see if it answers his questions.

On my instructions it said to leave it on for 08-09 models. I called RSD and they were clueless. My bike is a 2012. The thing is I think it's ugly and want to take it off.
