Nothin really irritates me, I don't care for the clown bikes that are painted like a bag of skittles and the big wheel tire. But as with everything it's a fad, just like fish tails and beach bars were. We all do what we do to our bikes as an expression, sorta like artwork.
Nothing anybody else does to their bike really irritates me. It's their bike & they can choose to do whatever they want to it.
I don't like certain fads, trends or styles, but again I don't care...it's their bike & as long as it makes them happy that's all that matters.
Not a custom trend really, but I do have 2 things that bother me the most.
1.Loudass ANYmusic emanating from any Harley.
2.Douche nozzles that rev the throttle constantly when they stop
----
Changed the above for me.
Your bike, your style. If it gets hot bikini girls wanting to sit on your bike and take pictures, more power to you.
From above (both more annoying than custom bike trends).
1) Not everyone enjoys whatever music you are blasting. It is funny when two geezer glides are blasting different style music next to each other. It's a battle of who can be more annoying.
2) blipping the throttle every two seconds or revving the **** out of your motor for no other reason other than to make noise bugs me, more so with efi equipped bikes. Now sport bikes are doing it..ugggh.
I wonder how many threads we are going to have where people judge other people's ride, clothes, mods, and so on. When did guys become so interested in other guys. I couldn't care less what other guys are doing period and it is really creepy that some Harley dudes are even paying any attention to other dudes.
Lots of trends from all eras that I'd never consider myself.
Remember all the chrome add-on rails & do-das that were popular in the 50's? Yes, it's "period" and I appreciate that, but it looked (& looks) like *****. Still, I love the early bikes.
Same thing with the choppers of the '60s. Raked with long fronts, peanut tanks, and goofy "S" seats with twisted iron sissybars. How stupid is that? Yes, it's iconic, but seriously... it's stupid IMHO. But if you like it, that's fine, because I enjoy seeing them once in a while.
Apes, slammed baggers, big front wheels, fishtails, color-shifting paint... it's all a little too much for me, but I still go to bike shows in the winter to see all the customs.
I agree with those who like functionality the most. That will never go out of style.

Ever heard of a bike show? They occur from time to time, you've probably been to one. And if you haven't, I'm betting you have commented on other bikes in a parking lot.

Yep and I can appreciate all art just like I can appreciate all cultures. I don't have to understand it or like it to respect a person creativity.
