06 EFI tank on 04 Carb bike ?(Deuce)

I want to buy an 06 sheetmetal set with anEFI tank for my 04 carb bike.

Will the tank work?

I called 2 dealers, 2 different opinions

i have a fuel injected softail and my buddy got a carb fat boy the only difference iv seen on the tanks is the quick disconnect line for the injection instead of a petcock. if theres a way to utilize the quick disconnect line with a inline filter to your carb i dont see why you couldnt use it

I think there's a "kit" you can get to convert efi tank to work on a carb bike. I can't remember where I saw it at though..i'll try to find it.

The key to this is to look up the part numbers. For a deuce the part numbers for the tank are the same for EFI and carb. there are the same holes on the bottom of the tank and there are some fittings that you can buy to "convert" the tank from EFI to carb. Or you can use your fittings from your present tank. Visit a dealer and have them show you the parts break down page and take a look at the part numbers. I am not sure if this is the same for all bikes or just the deuce.
