the old ones were off by 2 grams, the new ones are 100% the same weight that will be a plus, the extra weight maybe it will be less vibration cause more weight more stabil, but lower weight means less moving weight, did you get less viration when the 1200 kit went on compared to when it was 883???

Sören
dude, sportsters vibrate... like a chainsaw. I dont care about or even try to mitigate the vibes. More or less vibes, never noticed... I embrace them all. I love how raw and mean my sporty is... shaking out my fillings. Why people complain about vibration on a motorcycle is beyond me.
ride one of these then get back on your bike. You'll find your bike to be almost Lexus-like in comparison to this boneshaker:
my grenades have roasted my "stock" battery tender pigtail. since the engine area is still relatively clear. i used the opportunity to replace the well done wire with a new one and switched the side on which the lead rests to avoid it happening again.
had ridiculous contact valve clearance issues... so much for sticking to the hd 585 stage 4 directions and using stock hardware. yes base circle install and bleed down waiting on both cylinders.
stories of adjustables being heavy and weight as much as 3 stock rods.... bulls
Worked out. will resume later.... that was around 8 hours of learning/waiting/quadruple checking...... this will not go fast. i'm slow in more ways than one.
yes, i could have went with hammer and and been done... i chose the hard way on purpose. i'm learning a ton. pretty damn fun. if it blows up.. so what, lol.
in case you missed it...
this is how NOT to win...

Reason: i don't know what i'm doing
Guess I'm a bit confused... Why do you care what the 'tubes' weigh ?
Other than to know what the collapsible vs stock tube weights are ?
Thanks,
T.
oh, i don't care at all. as i was researching before i bought them a while ago, i sat over and over again, "adjustable pushrods are heavy"... "will weight down valve train"... "weight three times as much as stock"... blah blah. not really true... well at least not for these with these.
was just putting it up in the air.

obfuscation through perplexity
pushrods I can see being concerned with weight, but not the tubes...
