2014 vs. 2015 ultra Limited
#42
I was comparing the stock 2014 Ultra Classic original seat, to a stock 2015 Ultra Limited Low seat and the (super) reduced reach seat available in the Harley catalog. It's a part #52000132. I had all 3 on my new bike and picked the (super) reduced reach as my choice.
My Classic's original seat was too tall and wide for me. The stock '15 low was too wide and the seatback didn't reach my back, it angled away from me which didn't give me any lower back support. The (super) reduced reach HD aftermarket seat was perfect.
I'm uncertain how the stock limited and limited low compare width wise. But if it is like the Ultra Classic they both were too wide for me.

Gotcha...I was gonna say if it was built in 2013 make sure they did the recalls, obviously no cooling system but the clutch recall(s) and updates to the 6.5 if you have that...good luck and safe riding! GREAT color combo BTW...and I like the way the cut the paint on the tank, nicer than my Limited (in my opinion)!

I was curious about this. That's why I felt my '14 Ultra Classic had more travel and that should make for better cushioning than the 2015 Ultra Classic Low. Just changing the seat helps me touch ground and get's me in a better position for the stock handle bars too.
I put the same SG Air rides on the back of my '86 Tour Glide and have to admit unless I fill them up and they become stiff, I constantly hit hard on deep pot holes. Like bottoming them out. They are an inch shorter (less travel) than the stock ones that were blown when I bought the bike.
I can't wait to get on the road this spring with this whole new bike and custom seat just to see how it's all going to work out.

All else being equal, I'd be a bit more interested in the regular for better cornering clearance (I grind things).
