I am in a bit of a dilema i have ordered a new ultra with ABS and Security, and was at a dealership yesterday and was looking at the Limited, my question is. Is it work it to go with the Limited, the bad thing is i really dont like any of the paint schemes on the Limited, i have ordered the Blue in the Ultra and looked at the Blue & Black Limited, just wondered if the extra money is worth it for the bigger engine and extras.

Sure like mine, I rode with my buddy who has an 07 night train yesterday and he kept trying to lose me as we entered traffic and the 103 was having nothing to do with that....he kept shaking his head saying man that road sofa runs. used the heated grips most of yesterday and I am here to say, those were great. All in all I would say buy the limited, but after all is said and done....buy what makes you happy!

I'm with you on the color schemes. I don't like any of them. The 103 isn't that much of a difference from a 96. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the engine and paint scheme the only differences?

Only you can decide whether or not the extras found on the Limited are worth the extra money. If the extras on the Limited aren't important to you, you can certainly save a few dollars by getting the UC instead and use the savings to buy accessories that fit your needs/wants.
I chose to purchase a Limited because I wanted the larger motor and prefer the look of the titanium gauges and chrome accent wheels. I also thought that having heated grips would be nice here in the northeast.
If you want the bigger engine and extras, it is worth it. All of them can be added to your Ultra, it may cost you a little more. Someone posted yesterday about a dealer swapping tins, might be something to ask about.
I am shopping for a Ultra myself and will probably end up with a near new 08' or 09' (too many great deals out there) , that being said last week I spent a lot of time looking at the Ultra's in the showroom and the Limited is a much better deal with all you get IMH. I do agree with you on the paint scheme though it has kind of a retro look that I am not sure if I like or not yet but the Blue and Black looks good.
With the Limited, you get 2-tone paint, ABS, cruise, & security standard. You get the 103 with an oil cooler & chrome bling. You get heated grips. You get a tour pack luggage rack and a 12 volt outlet in it. You get cool-looking gauges, different wheels, and you lose the saddlebag side guards.
I can't remember exactly the difference in price, but I think it's an extra $1,200 or so for a Limited over an Ultra with 2-tone, ABS, and cruise. Looking at it that way, it's a bargain.
Is it cheaper to repaint the Limited or to add the extras to an Ultra.............and will there be a difference in value at trade in...........seems to me when I look at used bikes they are priced more on model than the extra adds
