Default BCM code issues

Hey all. Gotta a red light last night on the speedo so I pulled codes when I got home. Found a B2163 Brake Lamp Output Shorted Low code. Pulled the seat and checked all wiring, no issues found. All brake lights work fine with front or rear brake applied, no one lamp is dimmer than another. No obvious rubs or cuts in any of the wiring. I do have the CD rear fillers and a trailer wiring harness hooked up. Both of which have been in for over a month now. But no issues found there either. Anyone have any ideas what else or where to check? Thanks for any help.

The 2014 Electrical Diagnostics Manual lists the following possible causes:
Accessory tail lamp overloading circuit.
Short to ground in stop lamp power circuit.
Bulb malfunction.

1. Bulb Test
2. Stop Lamp Power Circuit Short to Ground Test (dealer uses the breakout box to check the wiring for a short to ground)

Thanks for the info. I checked everything. Now I don't have a breakout box but all lamps are working, no visible defects in wiring or connectors. No loose or pushed back pins. I do have a Khrome Werks Plug n' Play trailer wiring harness installed. I unplugged it yesterday and rode 150+ miles with no issues. Now to see if Khrome Werks will replace the harness or not.

You might have some water in your tri-bar light.Last year after riding in heavy rain for a couple days mine had some water ingress.I drilled a small hole in the bottom and drained the water out.Sealed up the hole and put sealant around the wiring where it goes into the light, that's where it was leaking.
