Electrical issues
So here's my problem....
My wife's 2016 Triglide can't seem to reliably hold a charge on the battery.
If it sits for about two weeks or more without being ridden; the battery dies.
My wife says that the volt meter usually reads about 14 volts when she is riding. But she has reported once or twice in the past month that the battery light came on.
This has been a problem since day one on the trike. We have had it in the shop about 6 or 7 times over the past year. And we've had two different dealers look at the trike when the battery died.
They have replaced the voltage regulator; the battery; and numerous fuses.
Other than that they say they can't find the problem.
They suggested that our trickle charger was causing the issue. So we left the trike off the charger after their last repair attempt last month. And last night; the trike was dead again.
Any suggestions? Has this happened with anyone else? Someone suggested speaking to the local area Harley rep - how would I go about reaching them?

Did the dealer do a battery draw down test?
