Default Right throttle side switch pack

From the factory the throttle side switch pack is just blank plastic with the wiring harness plugged in.

Are the wires “hot” where I could wire any switch into a mate for the power plug and run to a light or fan?

I’m not clear if I can pull power from those wires or if I need the accessory kit and wire under the seat.

I was a bit confused at first, as the bike in your avatar appears to be a 2014 up Ultra, so the right switch pack contains the kill and start buttons, as well as the right turn signal and push to talk / menu buttons. I'm guessing you are talking about the accessory switches on the lower dash, in which case there are a couple of options.

The MoCo offers the Auxillary Power Switch Kit - part number 71400105 for the Rushmore bikes or 71400129 for the newer ones - which will work with the existing bus wiring, or some people have successfully mounted their own 12V switches without it looking too hacked up.

The bike being worked on is a 2015 Ultra similar to the one in the picture.
The switches in question are the ones next to the ignition switch

I used the aux switch bundle from HD on the bike in the avatar so I am familiar with it.

For the other bike we are adding a knock off coolflow fan. The kit includes a new switch pack with a switch for the fan. Installation shows plugging their wiring into the plug from the dummy pack and the routing power to the fan.Not using the HD aux bundle. But that would only work if the factory plug had power. So that is the question, does that factory plug have power or just canbus connections?

I was not home with access to a service electrical manual. I got home last night and I see a switched power lead in the plug. Last night I was installing USB power for a charger ob my 22 Road Glide and pulled this plug to check it. I confirmed there is a power line in the plug along with the lines that go back to the accessory harness under the seat.

On my 22 the CoolFlow fan was activated by leftmost switch in left three switch cluster.
